Learning and Curriculum
Abiding Heart's wholesome and varied curriculum includes rigorous academic study as well as rich artistic experiences, shaped to each stage of a child’s development. Children grow through predictable developmental phases and each year’s content meets them where they are physically, emotionally, socially, linguistically, cognitively, and spiritually. Our programme intends to develop the mind through investing in all-round human development.
It is our wish to support families with an unhurried approach to learning, giving children the opportunity to thrive and flourish in their own time and in a unique way.
Heritage and Sense of Place
Heritage and sense of place are two distinct threads in our curriculum, and both are shaped around your family.
Heritage and faith tradition
We have built curriculum units for Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Vedic, Sufi, and Anthroposophic traditions, and we work with each family to build units for other traditions, or for no religious tradition at all.
Sense of place
Wherever you live, your child's curriculum can include units on the landscape, culture, and history of that place. Families who travel can build units around the places they move through.
