Abiding Heart's Integrated Learning Support for Home Educating Families
At Abide, we support home educators with a complete, integrated programme for children aged 6 to 13. Our contemplative approach combines teacher education, personal mentoring, and bespoke curriculum content in one offering. Together, we build your child's curriculum around their own heritage and sense of place, combining rigorous academics with meaningful artistic experiences in a way that engages the whole child.
With bases in the USA, Scotland, South Asia and rooted in decades of work in different parts of the world, Abiding Heart is an international community, reaching families globally through both online and in-person learning.

The aim of Abide is to sow seeds towards freedom. Our approach is centred on contemplative learning, fostering a process of transformation and the development of wisdom and compassion. We work in close partnership with parents, who we greatly respect as the child's first and most important teacher. Our aim is to support parents who chose to home educate their children by offering our wholesome curriculum and learning activities.
We aspire to nurture an all-round development of children: their body, heart and mind. It is important for us to offer our support to parents in educating their children with three overarching aims:

Nurturing Childhood
A Unique Journey of Children
We, at Abide, aspire to support families who take the less travel road and home educate their children. Through our learning approach we can contribute to this journey of raising responsible, creative and kind human beings who can think for themselves. Abide offers an environment for home educating children to learn in a way that inspires them. Their hearts and minds are nurtured by the content of our curriculum and experiential learning, which encourages enquiry, questioning, and seeing things from different perspectives. Our aim is to support families in educating their children to be free thinkers, capable of actions that are driven by love, kindness and compassion for all.
In our curriculum, we integrate contemplative and transformative learning by bringing together understanding, experiencing, and integrating. Our approach gives equal weight to the intellectual (head) affective (heart), and doing (hands) domains. This way of learning places the emphasis on developing wisdom and compassion that is to be lived in the class and in our personal life.
